Cyber smart Lesson 2 -

What I have learnt Today

Last Tuesday my class room 7 learnt about cybersmart and today
for our new lesson we have learnt about a LAWYER and a lawyer
and the government has some much to cover. Our first lesson was
about what we did last Tuesday and that was cybersmart and how
old you need to be to do something.

The next task we did was Questions for Team 1 and Team 2 she
asked us different kinds of questions and we all needed to answer
them all but unfortunately we lost because we were team 2 and
then team 1 got to get there prize at the last part of the lesson.
But then we carried on our lesson.

Our next part of the lesson was about if you were a government
and you would name your country what would it be named and
what would be the law’s for your county. She gave us all different
kinds of papers and she asked us what kind of crd you would
want in your country. And she also said to choose 12 different
kinds of cards you want.

We were choosing which kind of card we wanted and we came
up with 12 and she asked us to present our country's name in a
nice way but we didn’t have a name so we just told her which
cards we had chosen she then told us to lose 1 card and get 10
cards and then she told us to get 4 cards only and choose which
one is the bestest one that you would want.

Later she said that we would be playing a little game and the rules
of the game was that we need to choose a different kind of thing
which is heads with your hands on top of your head or tails with
your hands behind your back. It was so funny and then in the end
she said that team 1 had won the game.

Lastly in conclusion we learnt about the law and he was telling us
what she does at her job because she is a lawyer she helps and
back ups other people.

Reading Comprehension - Spoiling Paradise: The Impact of Tourism

Reading Comprehension - Spoiling Paradise: The Impact

of Tourism

Today In room 7 we have learnt about Venice and how tourists
are making it worse for the land to sink much more faster.

1. “… the impact of tourism can be devastating.”
(paragraph 2) What is the best meaning of
“devastating” as used in this sentence?
A huge
B destructive
C exaggerated
D wide-ranging

2. Quotation marks are used around the word
“eco-tourists” (paragraph 3) to indicate
F a speaker’s words
G a specialized terms
H a Mediterranean word
J a quotation from a travel brochure

3. How are the first and last sentences of paragraph 4 connected?
A They emphasize the damaging effects of mass tourism.
B They demonstrate the economic benefits of mass tourism.
C They indicate that local people do not support mass tourism.
D They show that mass tourism has both positive and negative effects.

4. What is the main purpose of the phrase “So how”? (paragraph 5)
F to reinforce an anti-tourism message
G to present an additional example of eco-tourism
H to add more information about problems in tourism
J to shift the focus from problems to solutions in tourism

Answer these questions in complete sentences.

5. How does the first sentence of this selection catch the
reader’s attention? The reason why the first sentence
selection catch the reader's attention because it said that
Venice is sinking and millions of tourism’s are coming there
to see the land sink into the open sea.

6. According to this selection, what is one way Venice would
use the money from a “tax on all visitors”? Paying for the damage
that has been destroyed from the city.

7. Why does the writer start the final sentence of paragraph 3
with the word “And”? It says that because they are deciding who
can visit the place or can't visit the place. Just like if you were
allowed in Venice you're allowed to see it sink but the reason why
they are saying you can’t go there because the amount of people
on the platform will make it worse.

8. Name one environmentally sensitive spot on Earth not
mentioned in this selection and explain why it is sensitive.  I think
the reason why Venice is sinking because. It might be caused by
the surface underneath the top surface of the earth. And it’s just
like when dirt gets touched by water or anything liquid it starts to
absorb the liquid and turn into something which is called mud. So
what I am saying is that it might be sinking because that lack of
water absorbing the dirt underneath the concrete of Venice.

9. Is this selection more “in favour of” or more “against” tourism?
Give a reason for your answer. This is likely to be both but it is
mostly bout against tourism. Because the lack of more and more
people coming from overseas and imaging and huge person standing
on the top surface of Venice. But later it starts to sink faster and faster.

Cyber Smart Lesson 1

Cybersmart Lesson 1 -

What I have learnt today -

A lawyer named Annie got called by our school principal to explain to
room 7 and room 6 about CYBERSMART, cybersmart is on of the most
ongoing experiences in the whole entire world. And Annie explained to
us very carefully about what would happen when you cyberbully and do
anything to people.

Season 1 - Anni presented herself and talked us all through what
cyberbullying is but first we all started off with a game called Guess
What Age You Have To Be To Do Something she asked many things
about age’s and that like what age you need to be to stay home alone or
to look after young ones. And the answer was to be Age 14.

Annie then asked us about what we like about our school, but we didn’t
really say that much but she then talked us through what we are going to
be learning about and that was CYBERBULLYING she asked us all what
do we know about cyber bullying. We responded the question to that
cyberbullying is used when someone typically sends some mean
message or post a photo of the person on a website just like facebook
and other social media sites.

We then played a little game that was rock paper scissors but not with
the shoot, but the thing was that it would make a lot of noise. She took
us through the steps and we tried doing it so the instructions was that you
need to go and find a person to play with and if you win they have to cheer
on for you but if they win you need to be the cheerer for that person.

When we were almost done with the lesson she showed us if we get cyber
bullied what should we do? And the answers are.

  • Ignore it
  • Ask someone for help
  • Call the police station

And the next one is to if you are a cyberbully person what would you do?
And the answers are

  • Get help
  • Stop what you are doing
  • Delete the things that you have posted

Today on Tuesday was our first lesson with a lawyer and today was a
fantastic day with a lawyer and learning other things about age’s and other
things.
